View Full Version : Nero Vision 7 (Splitting up my MPEG in Edit Mode on it's own)

So I'm no stranger to Nero Vision and I've used it successfully 100's of times. I have my own home video's, Not even Hollywood Movies. Just off my camcorder of the family. I record them to DVD using my DVD Recorder. So there is ZERO copy protection whatsoever going on here. On to my problem:

I load the DVD into the computer, open up Nero 7 (latest edition) and import my disc onto my computer as an MPEG-2. The problem starts at the "Edit Movie" function. It's 1 MPEG yet nero seems to be splitting the file into random sections which is making it very hard to cut out certain aspects I don't want. Why is this happening?

1 Section will be 2 seconds then the next will be 7 minutes, then another 45 seconds. I have about an hours worth on this MPEG and it splits it into about 9 Randomly timed files.

I tried recording it again with a different disc, yet I get the same results. All recorded in XP mode.

This is nothing different at all from what I've been doing and never had a problem with. Even up until the other day it worked fine.

Two things I have noticed is 1 with this newer nero update right after I click "Edit Movie" really quickly a message appears and it's hard to catch exactly what it says but most of what i can tell it said something about "reanalyzing black.avi" then it splits itself up.

Also it seems to split very close to whenever the screen goes black. It's not quite on the money but it's as if it's trying to predict a chapter change on it's own. (Which also I know all about nero's auto chapter mode and I DO NOT use it and NEVER have and it's NOT ACTIVATED)

So if anyone can get back to me and help me out it'd really like that.. Thank you in advance.

PS: I just decided to uninstall it with Nero Clean Tool and re-install and I'm getting the same problem results.
