First of all, the FAQ in the sticky thread "x264 win32 daily builds" is very good to say the minimum.

But the thread date say Feb2005. It seems to be up to date, but is that possible to mark somewhere the date if was last updated ?

I'm specially interested in this:

Q20: If VFW can't handle correctly h.264, what software can i use for editing in place of VirtualDub or other VFW based editors?
A: Currently there are few softwares that can do that ...

This "Currently" is Feb2005 or can I assume it's valid for today ?

Thank you
Marcio

The FAQ was August 2005 when it was created anyway.

In answer to your query, probably AVIDemux would be your best bet. Check the other sub-forum for it. ;)

All of the entries still look applicable; not much has changed on the x264/AVC front in that time, except in the commercial HD authoring space. Some could use an update though.
