Hi,Hope someone can help me. I use dvd shrink and the last disk I tried to copy would not show up on the screen.
When I got dvd shrink on screen I put in the disk,pressed open disk,after a while I get the message....D:\[no disk] I have tried putting disk in first then getting dvd shrink,but same problem.
Is this a code operating to stop copying ? Or is is just dvd shrink,it has worked very well up till now.
Can anyone please help me? I'm running XP Pro.
Thank you Bob K.

Hi!
DVD Shrink cannot handle newer copy protection schemes. Try using either RipIt4Me or DVDFab Decrypter - Both are freeware...
Not sure it's the problem. "No disc" indicates an hardware problem.
Can you play the DVD on your PC?

@r0lZ
Although you may be correct, when trying to rip some of the "ARccOS"-protected DVDs that contain Autorun files, you'll also see the "No disc" message...
Ach? I didn't know that. I guess that it is therefore impossible to play those DVDs on a PC, right?

I guess that it is therefore impossible to play those DVDs on a PC, right?Not at all. The autorun files from SONY don't interfere with playback (They typically either take you to a SONY site, or start a SONY DVD player program, or both), but once started do manage to interfere with, for example, the ability of RipIt4Me to "see" the DVD.
As you probably know, this can be overcome by simply first starting RipIt4Me, selecting either "Wizard" mode or "One click" mode - and then loading the DVD...
OK, I understand. The disc is readable, but hidden by a virus/rootkit! I haven't seen this kind of S0ny crap yet.
