DV To Divx Questoins

Greetings,
I'm converting NTSC DV type 2 captured using Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 to Divx using VirtualDub 1.6.18. I have been using Divx codec 6.6.1. The DV is recorded in 16:9, captured 16:9 and I would prefer to keep the aspect ratio when compressing.
I have 2 questions:
When using Donald Graft's smart deinterlace (2.8 beta 1) filer in virtualdub should I set the divix codec to progressive? I think so but...
What is the proper crop value to set? I have searched quite a bit and found quite a few different values. Also what is the proper value crop value for Divx for 4:3 NTSC video.

Since you have created progressive video by applying a deinterlacer, you should compress it as progressive in DivX.

Cropping is about removing black bars. DV content shouldn't have any black bars, so you needn't crop anything.

As for the aspect ratio, unless there is such an option in the DivX encoder configuration (sorry, I don't have DivX installed right now, so I can't tell), you can specify an aspect ratio if you mux your video into an MKV container.

In the divx codec settings the Ouput pixel aspect ratio:
Choices
Square 1:1
PAL 4:3
NTSC 4:3
PAL 16:9
NTSC 16:9

Which should I choose Square 1:1 or NTSC 16:9?

If It matters and I believe it does I will bewatching these on my computer monitor and 16:9 HDTV @ 1080i. I can not find a definative answer.
