Hey guys,

I'd like to ask if any of you knows about a software to make great 3D animated charts in a video.

I received a video last week that has a some astonishing charts.

When the voice over is explaining the data contained in them, these 3D and animated graphs start to build, while the camera moves around the chart.

These graphs look very much like the new ones you can produce in Office 2007, but even nicer (I think it's because of the 3d animation)

Does anyone know what software (or plugin) does this?

Thank you!!!

Hi!

Check out the following link from a simple Googlesearch:

I believe 3dsMax can be used for this, to very good effect, but I've never used or learned 3dsMax so I'm afraid I can't give you more specific advice than that.

Good luck and please let us know how you get on, I'd be interested to know.

@ setarip_old:

I spent a whole afternoon searching in google and couldn't find anything good. But as you know, maybe a slight change in the keywords you use might make a big difference.

The closest to what I saw is Wowchart, but it still looks a little bit dodgy.

Will keep searching anyway.

@ Arky: I used 3dMax in the past and I think it's a little bit complicated. You can do heaps of stuff with it, but I think this tool is something specific for charts. But, I might be wrong again.

I took a long shot trying to get this info from the actual people that made the sample I saw (not very likely to happen).

BUT, if I'm lucky enough to get the info I'll share it with you guys.

Thanks for your answers :-)

Don't quote me on this, but I think Boris Red just might also have some chart-producing capability...
