I notice that when I have "Enable Menu Encoding" checked that the menus don't always work properly. For example: with Charlotte's Web the menu cursor doesn't appear unless I reselect the menu. Is this a known issue? Should I leave "Enable Menu Encoding" unchecked?

Do you have a Sony Player?
I had a very similar problem back when Menu Encoder was first started with DVD-RB.... Can't remember what that movie was but I do get one every once in awhile. If I put the same disc into my Pioneer DVD or Toshiba HD DVD Player, it plays fine
EDIT: found it...

This is a Philips player. I guess I'll leave it unchecked as it's a really big investment of time just to have the menu not work.

If you want to save a lot of space on the menu and don't mind stills then try using MenuShrink. It's freeware and seems to work a treat.

MenuShrink (http://www.dvdr-digest.com/software/menushrink.html) also has problems with highlights when there are multiple sets of buttons in the cell. Perhaps this is also the issue the OP is experiencing with DVDRB?

No, I haven't been using MenuShrink. But thanks for the heads up. I was going to try it.
