i was wondering whats the best settings to use to get my computer to fully utilize the duel core processor which i have for xvid encoding in vdubmod
my processor is AMD athalon 64 FX-60 @ 2.73gHz
i capture 5mbit mpeg-2 .mpg files from another program, analog of course. make a .d2v project file in dvd2avi3 for it. then use avisynth for all my filters. i open the avisynth file in vdubmod, do regular cut edits, set it to fast recompass mode. and do 2 pass xvid encode (with xvid 1.2 SMP) and i was basically just wondering what is the best settings regarding duel core for me to set xvid (like what to set the threads to in the xvid codec) and anything in vdubmod in order to get the fastest encode due to processor power (and not lowering any setting like b-frames)
normally the processor usage only shows 1 virtualdubmod.exe process and is around 75 to 85% during the first pass and low-mid 90's in the 2nd pass. i've also seen it do that with any codec too.
I'm interesting in getting it to 99%-100% the whole time like seen with other duel core stuff where it has two processes both using 50% each. can anyone help with that?
