Hey
I used Smart Ripper to rip a dvd and then the vcd galaxy pack to convert the wav and compile the final svcd

the problem is everything was all good till i decided to remove the intro to the movie and the credits via "source range" in TMPgenc
i then waited the 4+ hours compileing it and the audio was about 1 sec out of sync

now i used to do heaps of divx but after gettin a standalone dvd player i want to make them to play on my tv..so im kinda new at svcds

But it sounds like the audio is out of sync because i removed some of the start footage? if so is there anyway to fix this and what programs would it require..i would just recompile it with the start cept i've deleted the original smart ripper data..

Thanks in advance

well i have had the same problem but i figured it out ( for me at least) i was using the bsplayer to play back the finished mpeg file and it was always out of sync no matter what i did so i tried it out using my windows media player and it worked perfect i think bsplayer has some kind of bug so i burned the cdr in vcd format (my dvd wont play svcd only vcd and xvcd or xsvcd (which i hear is better anyway) using nero 5.5.5.1 with no menues enabled u can get the info step by step using dooms guides or by using another from this site here : http://www.vcdhelp.com/DVDConversionGuide/index.php (its the guide i used) i couldnt figure out why it wasnt working either so i figured its only 10 cents american for a good quality 80 min cdr and i gave it a shot it looks almost like a perfect copy (this was and is still my first ever rip of any kind for video) i used a test dvd barbie nutcracker (my kids) cuz of the small size of it my next project is a multi dvd pearl harbor and soon actual dvd to dvd copiesas soon as i get my dvd burner in february i will keep u all posted (with tons a ???'s im sure lol good luck hope this helps, do like i did and try it its only 10 minutes of ur time on a slow cdr burner and a dime for the disk it might just work
btw: i have uninstalled the playa i will use win media or my retail version of powerdvd from now on:D
