I am currently trying to find some good samples of E-AC3 (DD+) encoded audio. The purpose for this is to create an open-souce E-AC3 decoder, which I am mentoring for the FFmpeg project as part of the Google Summer of Code. The current sample base (commercial HD-DVD content) seems to be saturated with high bitrate files which make almost no use of the enhanced features, and therefore are not well suited for decoder test samples.
So, my question is...is there anyone out there in Doom9 land who has access to E-AC3 encoder software and who could encode some low-bitrate samples for use in creating this decoder? We would only need short audio clips of about 15-30 seconds.
As a side-note, once the decoder is finished, I will be able to add E-AC3 encoding capabilities to the Aften AC-3 encoder. :)
