5.1 sound with divx?

Hello!
I´m new at this and would be glad if anyone could help me.

I wonder i there´s any way to keep the 5.1 sound thats avalable on dvd? Are there any formats that can support it? (DivX, svcd, vcd)
I would like to be able to hear dolby surround sound while playing divx. I case there is, i would be glad if you could explain how.

Yes it is possible. You just have to rip the ac3 track(s) from the DVD and mux it with the divx file you made using e.g. Nandub.
But since you are new to this I suggest you visit doom9's excellent site at www.doom9.org and have a look at the guides. There you'll find almost anything concerning ripping, encoding etc.
