Hi, I've been happily using AC3Filter for many years with no problems at all. But since the new version came out I'm having a few problems.
I have a SB Live 5.1 Sound Card and I 've always used the SPDIF output option of the filter to pass the sound to the sound card in order to decode the sound and route it to my 5.1 speaker system. But since I upgraded the filter to the new version I can`t get it to work properly. I have checked the Use SPDIF checkbox and I don't gen any sound at all. The only workaround I found till now to solve it is to uncheck the box, close any video file, open it again (now there's sound but not coming from SPDIF) and then acces the filter options to check the box, this way everything works fine and in the Decoder Info box I get something like:
Input format: AC3 - 48000
User format: PCM16 3/2.1 (5.1) 0
Output format: Dolby Surround
But when I close the file and open it again I get no sound and this output:
Input format: AC3 - 48000
User format: PCM16 3/2.1 (5.1) 0
Output format: 0
This happens to me with all my avi/mkv files with AC3 sound. I've tried to uncheck the "Check output format support" option but the result is the same.
So, If anyone can give me some light on the issue I would really apreciate it.
Many thanks.
