I just downloaded DVD2DVD and I don't want to download the wrong version of CCE SP. Some of the info available is a little out of date and tells you to only use 2.5 or 2.6. I no longer see the older versions that are recommended. Is the Latest : 2.70.01.00 -> 2.70.02.12 ok to use? Is it free? Also why did the download say Dvd2Dvd but after it says Dvd2svcd? TNX much

OK, here is the news: CCE is not free, SP is outdated, the successor is SP2, and costs... 1950 USD! (as much as SP costed if you wonder)
So what shall we do?! Well, there is CCE Basic, which has the speed and quality of CCE SP, but less functions, that most of us don't need anyway, and it costs... 58 USD!
Your pick!

Or you just go the DVD Shrink way! No hassle, no money, you introduce your DVD, tell the software to shrink it, wait 20 minutes and that's it!

Thanks! Why don't they change some of the posts on Dvd2Dvd and let people in on that? This movie dosen't work with DVD Shrink or the other popular programs, it must have a new encryption. Well is there any free encoder to use with Dvd2Dvd?

That's a Miramax (Disney) release - and can be easily ripped by either RipIt4Me (freeware) or DVD95Copy Pro (Both from my personal knowledge) and likely just as easily by DVDFab Decrypter (freeware) or AnyDVD...

So far I tried DVD Decryptor, DVD Shrink and Clone DVD2, all were NG. When I Googled it there were others having the same problem.

Did you not understand what setarip_old said? Run it through RipIt4Me.

OK. DVD2SVCD's ripper is way outdated. Do a main movie only rip with RipIt4Me and run that through DVD2SVCD.

In the stickies in the DVD2SVCD forum, there is a comprehensive list of supported encoders - both free and commercial software. If this info doesn't meet your needs, just let me know what you feel we should include.

Hope this helps

TNX, is RipIt4Me still available?? I finally got it done with AnyDVD and CloneDVD2, used Nero and it worked fine. I hate to put 3 more letters into the soup but when you have ADD it makes learning tough. I have so many programs that it gets a little confusing. This forum seems to be the best. My next venture will be DL burns. TNX for all.
