hi,
I was wondering about this option in GuardianKnot and I tried to find more information about the mentioned standard. I could not find any information which deals with the aspect ratio as described in GuardianKnot. all I learned about this standard deals with the storage format of digital video. All this standard describes is the 4:2:2 YUV format with reduced color-range (216 samples per color like used for TV-transmissions)
The option in GuardianKnot changes the aspect ratio. This makes absolutely no sense for me. More, it leads to a wrong AR . You can check this if you find a DVD with a circle (better: a ball) showing somewhere in the film. A ball should always be shown as a perfect circle which (horizontal & vertical) diameter you can measure on your monitor (make sure you have set a 4/3 resolution).
Checking this option leads to a wrong AR not to the correct one :rolleyes:

if I'm completely wrong and someone has more detailed Information about this, please let me know.
