View Full Version : Pan Scan and AFD in MPEG 2 ES - How?

I need to have in few mpeg-2 video elementary streams AFD (active format descriptor) and Pan Scan structure (need display on 4:3 display a 16:9 video). What kind of tool i can use??? TIA for any usefull information.

I don't know what AFD is, but if you want change the the display flag in elementary MPEG2 streams the use Restream. Under "aspect" change to 4:3, and under "sequence display extension" select change and set the horizontal size to 540 to the pan-scan flag. Then hit write.
