I have one nasty problem, when i tryed to backup American Pie 4 The Band Camp. I usualy use DVD Fab for shrinking movies and i suppose that main movie isn't bigger than DVD-5 size, after removing unnecessary things for me. I selected only video, one audio, and one sub streams, DVD Fab says compression ratio for DVD-5 is 96%, ok i figured that recompression is must done to fit on DVD-5. After shrinking i again open DVD from DVD Drive with DVDShrink, and DVDShrink says that isn't need to recompress anything, and i can keep up to 5 subtitle streams without any recompression?
Any idea?

Fab could have a lower output size set.
I never used Fab, but did you go into the options and look if there is an option to change it. Shrink lets you specify the output size in the options.
Just remember the max size it could be is 4483 MB. It's good to make it slightly less to allow for a cushion.

Shrink's default is 4464 to leave some margin for error on the outer ring of crappy blank media.

DVD Fab's default is 4300 megabytes for some reason. you can change it to 4472 which is what DVD Shrink uses and then you won't have any comression.

Yup.... that's where I got the number that I use myself....4300. I know you give up a little room, but I have had far fewer problems keeping away from the edge.
