If so, the Dr. needs you!
The Dr.'s team is committed to providing a free solution to enable easy creation of high quality video content.

The roadmap envisioned for the Dr. can be fulfilled at an accelerated pace if the community developers buy into the same vision and contribute their skills and time.

Here are some of the interesting features that were planned for the Dr.

* Batch encoding support to encode to multiple target profiles (for e.g. Home Theater and Mobile)
* XviD support
* Improved support for AVC content
* Subtitles: Improved support for community formats, preview and muxing
* Multiple video segment mark-in, mark-out and cut
* UI redesign for better workflow
* Chapter points
* Metadata
* External audio file muxing

Are you a developer who is interested in contributing to one of these features? If so, please volunteer (http://forums.divx.com/forum/forum.php?fid=33) to help!

Developers need source code. Where is it?

Here (http://sourceforge.net/projects/drdivx/) you go! This (http://labs.divx.com/DrDivX) is the home page for the Dr. but the source code and downloads are hosted on SourceForge.

@d00kl1

I hope you get the support you need: This is certainly the place to ask. I know you've been asking around for some time now. Good luck to you!

So has anyone even cared to look at the code...

kamiwa has made an update to the Dr's source.(thanx to dook|1 for showing where to find the code to change it) and it now seems that Divx is now going AVC w/ the purchase of MC and we are looking for Xvid/AVC coding help... I have the entire Dr's source crammed into a 7z file I will give it those wishing to help...

Otherwise the source is obtainable from the SVN Server listed on http://sourceforge.net/svn/?group_id=145411

Thanx ~Ajax

It would be very helpful if anyone with Skills working with C++ Win32 PlatformSDK and VS would help out...

Its is written in Win32 C++ Using wxWidgets, Server 2003SDK and MS Visual C++ Express Edition 2005...

PS: you may or may not need Directx SDK...
