I have a standard (non-pro) version of the HDMI capture card called Intensity. I have 2 HDMI devices, and it seems both have HDCP enabled (Sky HD & Philips DVD HDMI player), which sadly my capture card doesn't support. So, I bought a component to HDMI adapter which I thought would bypass HDCP.
Anyone have any idea why it would be that my component to HDMI device won't work ? Here is the device : http://www.lektropacks.com/view_item.php?product=1000532&&category=148
Is there any sort of protection used with component ? I just want to see if my Intensity card works, yet it seems whatever I put in to it doesn't work, but I just don't know if that is due to HDCP, macrovision, etc etc. I just wish outputs would only be HDCP enabled on copyprotected stuff, I can't even capture using the HDMI output on my DVD player with my own home made dvds due to HDCP being on 24/7.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.
