Actually you have to adjust your calculation. The target sectors value is used for creating the output size of all the combined M2V files. In order to estimate the output size for the DVD, you have to take the target sectors value and multiply it times 1.015 (for VOB multiplexing overhead) to get the target size for the DVD.
So the default of 2236400 would be:
(2236400 * 1.015) * 2048 = 4,648,849,408 = 4.329GB.
That's the reason you normally get anywhere between 4.32 - 4.33GB as output.
