OK, I've been trying to encode my video clips from quicktime format (recorded from kompact camera) to xvid for youtube. I am posting here because I've tried everytking to solve my problems with no avail and this whole thing is driving me to the edge of madness
First I tried to do everything with premiere; editing and encoding with xvid 1.1 and it worked fine until 1 point when it just got mad. It gave (and still gives) me corrupted movie with green squares and every single clip crashes WMP10 and all players!
Now after that weird accident with premiere, xvid produces VERY big encoded file, no matter if it is at 1 pass or 2 pass, 1 pass quantisation 2 or 20. always like 600M file to 1minute movie!!
I also tried (with Adobe premiere) exporting with huffyuv with yuy2 setting (because gknot does not understand yuv format). I set up gknot like described in doom9's tutorial and it starts encoding and all, but log file contains errors and encoding suddenly stops when ~70% is done. It just stops. I tried manually encode with vDubMod but it crashes at the same place ~70% of filesize.
Gspot says that everything is OK, there is no ffdshow filter or anything messing xvid. Still encoding is not working and every f****ng encoded file is corrupted.
I tried to uninstall everything and reinstalled all but still the same.
Please help, this whole thingy is driving me insane.
You can view my gknot log file here (http://www.dsiponen.fi/setit/Sequence%2001_1_GKnot_1.log).
VdubMod gives this error:
An out-of-bounds memory access (access violation) occurred in module 'huffyuv'...
...while decompressing video frame 465 with "Huffyuv v2.1.1 - CCESP Patch v0.2.2" [biCompression=55594648] (VideoSource.cpp:1627)...
...while running thread "Processing" (thread.cpp:120).
then resulting crashing: VirtualDubMod.exe - Application Error: The instruction at "0x09e597a8" referenced memory at "0x01563cf0". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate the program
