View Full Version : How to define a section of an avi file with no sound when joining sound and video?

Hi,

I use GordianKnot and Robot4Rip to rip a DVD into XviD.

Everything went fine up to the point where I have a video file (avi) and an mp3 file that I want to join with Nandub. However, I noticed an error in DVD Decrypter saying that it couldn't open an audio. In R4R I get this message : 22:45:14: Error: Thread terminated with message "Missing audio file of stream 0x1C0"
R4R shows, under VTS_01_0, 4 PGC entries. I now found out that the one that has a length of 10 seconds is the one that causes the problem. The reason is that the mp3 file is missing 10 seconds. In vlc, the audio file is 1:37:59 long, and the video file from the second pass is 1:38:10 long.

The problem is that when I play the avi file (2nd pass) the portion that has no sound is between two other ones  Is there a way I can tell Nandub to skip over a portion of the avi file while joining it to the sound ? If yes, how can I calculate the exact number of frames it should skip over ?

Sorry for the long post, it's just a complex problem ;) .

Thx,
ib
