I would recommend to everyone to avoid the Hauppauge Nova T-500 Dual Tuner DVB-T PCI card at all costs. Hauppauge are aware of a problem with it and still have not fixed it after 6 months. This problem is a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) involving the USB device that this card uses. Yes it has 3 Via USB devices in device manager in order to function despite being a PCI card.

None of the suggestions made to fix the problem has worked for anyone and there are a lot of users on the Hauppauge forum with this problem. The Hauppauge support have stated that it is a IRQ sharing problem but that is not the case as mine is not sharing any with anything that is used by me. Only my IEEE1394 device shares with one of the standard Usb devices but that is not used by me. A few do not get it but many do, including me.

If the card is used to receive anything for about half an hour the computer BSOD's which is not a good thing to have happen. This means the card is unusable. Some older motherboards the PCI card is not even recognised.

So think very carefully before purchasing this card. Do you have hours to spend trying to get it working?
