I'm encoding using GordianKnot and VirtualDub as used in the guide on the main Doom9 website. The movie is Spiderman, Widerscreen Special Edition. It's region 1 NTSC. I ripped the VOBs and when I preview I'm not sure what I need to do now.
Fame Rate: 29.970
Video Type: Flim >= 95% [I ran this for a few minutes and it broke 95% but was still climbing. However I very much doubt it is a pure Film source)
Frame Type: Progressive
My gut tells me that since the FPS is 29.970 I need to IVTC to 23.976 FPS (via GKnot or VDubMod). I also feel that I need to use Forced Film in DGIndex dude to the video type being Film >= 95%".
Just wanted to verify I was right? And also, what are the other, common, situations you can encounter with the FPS/Frame/Video types?
Thanks!
