Hi,

I have a dvd ISO that are rip to my hardware. That dvd ISO have 14 chapters. However, the first 7 chapters will make up 1 episode. I use auto gordian knot but it seem to rip out the whole 14 chapters into 1 large size avi. Anyone can advise how to rip a range of chapters eg 1-7 chapters into individual avi? what software to use? I hope to use 2 pass xvid/divx to convert it into avi.

Thanks

Try ripping the DVD with DVD Decrypter in .IFO mode, which will identify the separate episodes and allow you to rip them as individual files. AutoGK doesn't handle episodic disks.

Or with DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode, check only the chapters belonging to each episode. Sometimes if all the episodes are in the same PGC, you're forced to do it this way. Save each episode to its own folder.

Thanks all for the reply. I managed to rip the range of chapters I want under IFO. I use auto gordian knot to convert but it show 2 audio tracks:

Audio stream 0 ac3
Audio stream 1 ac3

what is the purpose and differences of the 2 audio track? May I know which audio tracks to choose? how it affect the avi after conversion?

thanks

Audio Stream 0 is usually the default one that plays on the DVD. Stream 1 may be a different language, a commentary track, or the audio in 2-channel stereo instead of 5.1 surround.
