View Full Version : I borked up ACM.

Hey guys,

So today, I was installing LAME ACM to add CBR MP3 to an XviD AVI for a YouTube upload (some awesome racing footage from Gran Turismo :)), and the install borked.

I re-installed it and it was successful. However, now when I go into VirtualDub (tried MOD and 1.7.1) and select audio compression, the program crashes.

So I'm guessing I really fracked up my ACM stuff.

How do I fix this?

Thanks

Unsure solution!

From command prompt try unregistering it via
REGSVR32 /U lameACM.acm

There must be a full path to the ACM file on the line!

If that doesn't work, you might try deleting and reloading your drivers32/drivers.desc keys. Back yours up and add the entries back in until it starts crashing again (or you might see something obviously wrong even before that).

As a template, mine (from a while ago) is here: http://foxyshadis.slightlydark.com/random/drivers32.reg

I'll try that out. Thanks for the suggestions guys!

I wonder what happened... very strange, I've never had any issues installing ACM codecs before..
