Hi there!
First of all I want to say that I am totally new about camcorders. I looked for some help in the F.A.Q.; I did a search but nothing, so finally here I go.
I received a mini DVD from a friend; he wanted to back up his recordings with his camera (Canon DC-100) on a CD. He is a Mac user, so he was afraid to lose his mini DVD in the Mac slot, finally he gave me the mini DVD to give a try (I’m Windows user), but I could not read it at all.
After the explanation, the final and may be stupid question is:
Is it possible to read those mini DVDs directly in the computer or it’s necessary to do it connecting the camcorder?

Greetings!

So, finally I saw that the Canon DC-100 has no firewire or USB, so the only possibility is directly with the miniDVD in the computer.
The media is a Sony double sided miniDVD (not double layer)... could be that the reason?
Please help!

Greetings! :)

The disk probably needs to be finalized by the camera.

@castellanos

Hi!

Try reading it (each side) with ISOBuster...

Thanks for the replies guys!! :)

@CWR03:
Probably you are right, the miniDVD is not finalized, that could be the problem.

@setarip_old:
I've tried your suggestion, but ISOBuster is a shareware program, so I was able to se the tracks but I could not extract them unless I register the program...:rolleyes:
I saw the tracks with Nero, I saved them on my HD as nrg images, then I tried to open them with UltraISO, in order to extract the files, but I got an error "Unsupported file format".
I burned the image into a normal DVD, but it was the same again.
