Is there any HDTV F1 broadcasting channel?
And what country is it from?
Thanks.

F1 TV coverage is controlled by FOM, which takes the feed from the host broadcaster. In the UK, that's ITV1. Nobody does HD coverage of Formula 1, so unless that changes in the future, F1 will stay SD I'm afraid. :(
At least now it's widescreen. :D

exactly I am so happy that it's widescreen now. Swiss broadcasters still send in SD 4:3. I am so glad that I can receive ITV via satellite, 16:9 just looks better on my HDTV :D

Good to know I'm not the only F1 nut on this forum. ;)

I love motorsport, F1, SuperGT series (JAP), WTCC, Rally. Most of the time I am watching and recording Motors TV :D

Oops! I did some more research and I've been a bad boy relaying stuff.
The FOM control all the broadcasts this year, to stop TV director bias in that country from the host broadcaster (think Alonso in Spain or Schumacher in Germany getting more focus than where the real action is) and they also have an HD broadcast going to several TV companies. I'm not sure anywhere in Europe does it though. ITV I thought did, but I'm honestly clueless cause I don't get HDTV at the moment.
