I have tried several programs to back up my original disk
" song of the south" disney movie made in 1929.
it is heavily copy protected as it is baned in the usa.....
but here in costa rica it is not.
Does anyone have a suggested program which I will be able to use to make a archive copy.
Thanks
jack :thanks:

What programs have you tried?

@pantom1

Hi!

1) The movie was made in 1946, not 1929

2) To the best of my knowledge, it has never been commercially produced on DVD - perhaps you have one of the many laser disk to DVD or godawful VHS to DVD conversions.

In either case, there wouldn't be any copy protection whatsoever...

I have also found no mention of Song of the South ever having been released on DVD, anywhere. The only "original disks" are Laserdiscs which have only Macrovision protection (if that) and would need to be captured manually.

It also has not been banned in the US - Disney decided not to release it.

I have one of the few DISNEY dvd disks in a commercial box
with a WWW.xtinet.com videos label on it.
DvD fab will only copy the 3 files... then craps out.
Next approach please
Jack

@pantom1I have one of the few DISNEY dvd disks in a commercial box with a WWW.xtinet.com videos label on it.Nothing personal, but:

1) Have YOU clicked on the link you've provided?

2) Neither "xtinet" (which apparently doesn't exist as a separate entity) nor "Seeq" (which the link redirects you to) have anything to do with Disney or any of its entities.

3) The packaging proves nothing - I'm quite certain that, as I said earlier, what you have is a bootleg copy transferred from either laserdisk or VHS tape.

May I ask where you purchased the DVD?
