Hi, I'd like to cut the first half or so from a cell in a VOB file, but keep all the audio streams and subtitle streams. It's the only cell in the VOB file, so there's no need to worry about previous or succeeding cells. I've tried numerous tools today, but they all fail my requirements in some way.
- VirtualDubMod: only allows me to select one audiostream. Fails for me, because I want to preserve both audiostreams. And I don't even know if the subtitlestreams are trimmed as wel. Or if the IFO file will still be valid.
- Chopper XP: doesn't allow me to specify exact points where to cut the VOB. I'd like to cut exactly the first x frames, so I'm sure the previous scene is fully deleted and the next scene is fully preserved. (don't ask why the idiots who created the DVD put two scenes in one cell... my life would've been so much easier if they had made a proper DVD)
- Cuttermaran: only let's me cut m2v files. Therefore, I need to demux and remux the VOB, and consequently I have to trim the two audiostreams and subtitlestreams manually. Sounds like a lot of work[1], plus I don't know at what points I have to cut the audiofiles and subtitlefiles to get the same cuttingpoint as in the m2v file. And last but not least, I don't know how to get the shortened streams back into the VOB, while making sure the IFO remains valid.
- TyTool: uses a incomprehensible GUI in which I don't think I will ever find the 'cut' button, or even the 'open...' button. In short, I am completely clueless as how to use this program.
So at this point I'm turning to the wealth of experience found here...
Does anyone know what tool would suit me needs?
BTW, I'm not sure if this is the correct forum for this question, as I believe my question has quite some overlap with different forums here.
TIA,
Jelle
[1] If it works, I'm of course more than willing to do all that work :)
