Both are requests for workable programs (free)
Okay, first off is...
What free program could I download to combine 2 (or more, as in 5) video files of the same type into 1 file?

Second...
I recently downloaded FairUse4WM, and it wont work :( my Window Media Player is lower then version 10, that much I know... do I need any secondary program to run FairUse? Or just as-is? If it's as-is, and it still won't work... I'll give up.
NOTE:: Does FairUse require internet to work? Mine is broke(internet)

Hi there, bit of a newbie here myself - I don't post too often, but like to check the forums regularly :)

With regards to your first question I think you should take a look at
DVD Flick which supports a wide variety of input formats, and authors the output as a DVD

About

DVD Flick aims to be a simple but at the same time powerful DVD Authoring tool. It can take a number of video files stored on your computer and turn them into a DVD that will play back on your DVD player, Media Center or Home Cinema Set. You can add additional custom audio tracks as well as subtitles of your choice.

Supported file container formats are, amongst others, AVI, MPG, MOV, WMV, ASF, FLV, Matroska and MP4. Supported codecs are amongst others, MPEG-1\2\4 (XVid, DivX, etc.), Windows Media Audio\Video. MP3, OGG Vorbis, H264, and On2 VP5\6. For a full list of supported container, audio and video formats, see http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/ffmpeg-doc.html#SEC20

DVD Flick is Open Source, meaning that anyone can download and view or modify the program's source code. It also means that it is absolutely free of charge. Several external programs are used by DVD Flick to do the dirty work like encoding and combining of video material. All of these programs are free, some are Open Source too.

If you have a question, want to read the FAQ, report a bug or tell me about your favourite pet, feel free to post in the Forums. If you want to view more information, or download older releases, please visit DVD Flick's SourceForge project page.

Regards,

The Thing.

DVD Flick here -> http://www.dvdflick.net/

I've Just tested DVD Flick - imported two *.wmv's, a *.flv (flash video), and a *.mpg - so have four input files in total to be output to DVD and DVD Shrink was able to open the resultant DVD files no problem. :)

Virtualdub, virtualdubmod, avidemux, mkvmerge, mp4box (and its guis) all have the capability to append streams if they match, without re-encoding. With re-encoding just about anything can do it to any format. Some are more tolerant of slightly different encoding parameters than others.

No clue about FU, sorry.
