I have an old home movie I encoded years ago to AVI file with AC3 2 ch audio. The movie plays fine when using my XBOX to play them in the family room. It alsow works find on my PC. Now that I am running out of room on my XBOX and PC, I decided to put all the home movies to DVD.
I demux the AC3 with VDub Mod.
I run the AC3 through besliced.
I run the video through TMPGE
I join the MP2 and AC3 into VOB's with TMPGE Aurthor
When I watch the disc the audio is far ahead of the video??? I can't figure this one out. I tried turning the AC3 to WAV with Besweet then authoring the WAV and MP2 with TMPGE author and still the sound is out of sync.
Any suggestions for getting the sound to sync? I have tried 4 different files and they all do the same thing.

Hi!
Just load your original .AVI into (freeware) DVD Flick.
What did you use to create the .AC3 audio on you home movie?
I have tried 4 different files and they all do the same thing.Load one of the files into GSpot and post a screen capture back here...

I probably would have used VDUB Mod back then to capture the video from the recorder through my capture card. Being honest, I don't remember the capture software I was using since I bought a DV camera 3 or 4 years ago. Haven't had to capture since.
I think I made a toe hold into the problem, the file is 1:37.00.32. When I demux the audio using VDUB Mod the resulting AC3 file is 1:37.00.32 but it has a sync error. After I run it through BeSliced the file is 1:36.55...
GSpot...

DVD Flick did the trick, the picure is a little bright and I was not able to put menus with chapters but other than that it did a good job. Thanks for the tip Buddy!

Now that you've successfully created a basic DVD with Flick, you could load it into "TMPGEnc DVD Author" v.1.6 and create a menu.
You can obtain a FULLY functional free 30 day trial version of this commercial program at:

DVD flick creates VOB files. How do I feed them through DVD Author as I would like menue's and chapters. I have a registered version of TMPGE but I am still running 1.5.2. Was their additional functionality added to 1.6?

Just a victim of old habbits. After loading the M2V files from TMPGE so long I guess I just never paid attention to the other buttons. I guess I got tunnel vision from repetitive motion and doing it the same way over and over again???
