View Full Version : Problem with Intensity Card

I have a HDMI capture card by Blackmagic, called Intensity. I am trying to copy from Sky HD but I just get "no video" on screen. I am unsure if this is due to HDCP or if I have something not setup right, the reason being that I can't seem to capture from my HDMI DVD player either (using an unprotected disc). I have a component to HDMI adapter lying in wait just in case it is need due to HDCP, but I have yet been able to try it.

So basically speaking, is there any easy way to test if my capture connection is working ? Will a channel like BBC on Sky HD have HDCP ? If not, I presume that should work (which it doesn't).

Any help much appreciated. If anyone here owns an Intensity please let me know and I will screen grab my Device Manager so I can check if I have the correct items installed so I can compare it with your setup.

It probably will.. It's likely that your STB is adding HDCP to the HDMI out..

The newer Blackmagic Intensity Pro includes Component input on the card. It is priced only $100 more.
