Whole DVD to One File with menus possible ?

Do you know of a software where you tell it a dvd-source (.ifo) to encode with the more efficient codecs (like x264) to a container to only one File (i guess mp4 or mkv should provide this) with all the menus, subtitles, audio and video ? Is that kinda software available or even possible ?

theres also a program called RatDVD but playback is limited to PCs, with DivxMediaBuilder you can play it on Ultra divx certfied players and PCs

neither of them use x264, DivxMediaBuilder uses divx and RatDVD uses xvid.

You can also through everything into a Matroska File, using DVDXtractor. At least, I think that is the name. Just run a search.

Except, when you encode everything like that, it is a lot harder to keep menus. But it is possible. However, DVDXtractor is for keeping the original Mpeg-2 form in a solid file. Just my 2 cents.

ratDVD doesnt use XviD. I wouldn't recommend it because:
- low quality
- buggy
- more or less discontinued

when ratdvd came out i read here on doom9 that it used a xvid modded version, the extension was ratdvd but the codec used was a modified xvid version. Sorry if im wrong, its no longer being developed so that leaves divxmediabuilder as the only one capable of doing it?
