Detector for manual fixing of IVTC problem frames?

What plugin can, if any, detect the few occasional problem frames after IVTC and create a list that would allow manual inspection and overriding of the IVTC in a 2nd pass?

(Side question: What causes these problems in the first place? Cutting the video after the flags are already applied?)

If you use TFM and output a metrics file it will list "ovr help information" containing lists of the detected combed frames, possible missed combed frames, and u/b/n matches used.

By "cutting after the flags were applied" I mean in the DVD production. (thread 125547 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=125547) evolved into discussing that).

Well the flags will only be followed if you use a DVD2AVI/DGIndex mode or TFM with a d2v and the appropriate "flags" setting. And depending how you set the "flags" parameter TFM may check for combing in the flagged material, and its combing checking is necessarily imperfect. You may be getting false positives.

Also the flags may not be present in the whole video. If the MPEG2 was sourced from a hard telecine and conservatively replaced with flagged IVTC'd video as in some DVB, it may be a mix of 29.97-telecined and 23.976-progressive even if the pre-telecined source wasn't hybrid.
