I just installed Gknot on my new computer last week and I've been getting this error in Vdub:

An integer division by zero occurred in module 'xvidcore'...
...while decompressing video frame 1 with "XviD MPEG-4 Codec" [biCompression=44495658] (VideoSource.cpp:1832).

I only get this error though when I cut a sample from a divx rip and try to play it. Nandub also Crashes right away when I open a sample. I'm using a dual core cpu but I'm not sure if that has any effect on the crashing?

Try installing the latest CVS compile (http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/XviD/), see if that fixes the crash.

Ya, the full divx rip plays fine it's only when I cut a sample from it that then once I open the sample in Vdub or Nandub it crashes.

Would you please be good enough to load the original DivX into GSpot and post a screen capture back here?

Actually when I uninstalled xvid I can play the samples just fine, so for some reason xvid 1.0.3 causes nandub and vdub to crash when I play samples that have been cut using those 2 apps.

Strange, that wouldn't seem to explain why the full files played properly while you had the XviD codec installed...

It has something to do with cutting samples from nandub and vdub, somehow something goes wrong.

Is it possible to cut a sample with nandub or vdub with xvid codecs uninstalled? Then I would reinstall it once the samples are done.

Strange, that wouldn't seem to explain why the full files played properly while you had the XviD codec installed... When it was played, directshow decoders are used. VDub uses VFW decoders. Possibly a bug/conflict in the VFW decoder. When installing xvid, I suggest not letting it try to decode anything becides xvid ;)
