In a closed post titled "How To re-encode xvid?" Serber said, 'na warez' and 'ChronCross' added by saying, 'You downloaded the videos....which makes them warez...'
I would like to remind many that though many videos downloaded are illegal (though not illegal in all countries ie. Canada) there are many sites that allow one to purchase and then download movie files.
hence the word 'download' does not automatically mean illegal or have one assume such

What you say is correct, however, if you read the "ANNOUNCEMENT" at the top of the "Newbies" sub-forum, you'll note that those in charge are unwilling to try to discern whether a reference to downloaded material is about legal or illegal items - and will presume "the worst"...

Furthermore after 50 years copyright is out, and movies like "the thief of Bagdad" or "the day the earth stood still" are on internet for free,
This year "Forbidden planet" too...
