Zone is a powerful tool to give to each part of a movie the right compression, but to do so you need to use 20 zones or more, and this is a pain with the actual zone editor, you need to open each zone, see only few zones, and dont see some setting like b sensitivity.

I would suggest to add a zone editor pane as big to show all zones and with all settings for each zone in it, without open each zone, es

set1 set2 set3 setx....
zone1
zone2

.........

zonex

And would be nice to have trellis, adaptive and other possibily settings 'per zone'

Also would be useful to preview a movie in the zone panel to seek for zone boundaries

How would that work. The codec's configuration has no access to your movie.

As for zone editor, by all means go for it.

Simply, by writing a xvidded Vdub :D

But we could live without it.

I agree, if you want a zone editor, write an external one. All it needs to do is output registry entries. Should also output cli params for encraw though.

ok, but a window without preview inside xvid would be enough.

and, for general knowledge, i am not able to program anything.

Seems that public requests are not welcomed, ok.

Xvid is open source, it's generally believed in the open source community that if you want to add something, you have to make it yourself. People don't usually add things just because people request them.
