Won't burn DVD+R

I am using Ripit4me, DVD Shrint and DVD Decrypter, everything works fine as long as I burn to a DVD+RW, however when I try to burn to a DVD+R the whole process seems to be working, the disc seems to burn but there is no data! I have tried 2 diff brands, same results. Have also tried Nero, same thing. What am I missing?

1) What is the brand and model number of your burner?

2) What are the two brands of DVD+R media that you've tried?

3) Have you previously successfully burned DVD+Rs with this burner?

Thanks for the reply, I looked at previous burns and found that I have been able to burn dvd+r in the past. Specifically on TDK's, however it will not burn TDK's now. Have also burned on Verbatim previously. Feel it is in the software somewhere but I am stimied. I am a intermediate PC user on a HP Pavilion zd 8230 running 1gb RAM, 120gb HD with Windows XP Prof Media Edition. Pentium 4, 3.4 gh

Is it possible that your burning software is set to "Test" mode?
