like in TMPGEnc is there some way to increase the output volume so that i dont have to turn my comp up all the way to hear the movie????

If you look into your Gknot folder, you should see a readme or html file that lists all the LAME switches that Gknots support. You might be to use a switch where Gknot lets you put the command line.

Otherwise, encode your audio seperately using normal DRC via Azid. That might help somewhat. Last thing to try is the new PowerDivx player which has the DeDynamic plugin built in that allows you to boost your sound.
