Although I can't check it out myself (unable to find a US source for the German release), I've been advised by the author of DVD95CopyPro that the latest version 39_91 of this "one-click" commercial program (rip/compress/burn) is capable of properly processing the German DVD release of "Das Parfum" - as well as, of course, all "ARccOS" and "RipGuard" protected DVDs...

As is AnyDVD - I own that DVD and also made a backup with AnyDVD/CloneCD.

@abiriv, or were you expecting to get a free version.

Actually there is.

The latest DVD Fab HD Decyptor beta has been updated and among other things now copes with the latest ProtectDVD variant found in Germany.

@Wombler

Hi!

Upon looking all around at the site for which you provided a link, I can't find anything that specifically mentions this copy protection.

Have you personally successfully used DVDFabHD Decrypter to backup the German release of "Das Parfum"? - Or can you point me to the site location that mentions it?

Thanks ;>}

Thanks ;>} Wer Früher Stirbt Ist Länger Tot - works without problems in full disc mode. Das Parfüm - still problems that needs to be fixed in the next release.

Hi,

It's in the update history which you can find here.

Under the beta 3.1.0.0 entries.

I don't have the disc myself.

Based on the post (#13 in this thread) by "cynthia_old", it would appear that, at this time, DVDFab (HD) Decrypter is not quite up to snuff regarding "Das Parfum"...

Yes and I see from another forum she's been corresponding directly with Fengtao.

Problems with this disc obviously still exist although I don't think it will be too long before Fengtao has it sorted.
