I notice on some of my encodes during panning some colors tend to leave a trail until the motion has stopped. I was wondering if it is possible to fix this.

the "NastyEncodePic.jpg" is taken from a divx encode? or a direct avs snapshot?

The Nasty pic is from an xvid encode. I loaded the file in vdub to take a snapshot of the video. I also did the same thing with the source to get the pic.

Then the quantisizers went to high and produce this. You should use more bitrate or clean the source some more.

Warpman. When I do my encodes I set the file so high that it never maxes out. I set a 20 minute encode at 700000 and they come out 485 give or take. Can you recommend filters to help clean this. Here are the plugins I currently use.

DGDecode.dll")
decomb.dll")
cnr2.dll")
hqdn3d.dll")
Colormatrix.dll")
Fluxsmooth.dll")

Thanks Warpman.

you should maybe use a custom matrix then, i recommend didees SixOfNine.
(i can upload it somewhere if you cant find it)

btw. Did you apply any quantisizer restrictions?

I am using a custom matrix that a friend of mine made. I am using quant 2 for my encodes. I will use the SixofNine for my next encode. It seems to do this blurring in dark area where there is motion. There is another scene in the toon I got the other pics for where some spaceships are spiralling down and I can see a lot of blurring or maybe it's motion blur but the spaceships leave behind a trail while they are in motion.
