I installed Klite-codec pack 2.85f with Media player classic 6.4.9.0. Unlike previous versions of this players , new version doesn't want to determine aspect ration of the movie. I start the movie 16:9 (anamorphic mpeg2) and Media Player Classic plays it 4:3 (like non anamorphic)
How can I make it to automaticly determine aspect ratio?

Remove the K-Lite codec pack completely and install the Gordian Knot coded pack from here.

I just opened Casino Royale, with Media Player default at "keep aspect ratio" and -voila! - wide screen 16:9.
Or from tool bar [select] view>video frame>override aspect ratio> [select] 16:9

actually, the default is "keep aspect ratio," but now they have given, as they say, the viewer *more* options; the options allow you to alter the ratio to fit your window size.
to restore default value (which means it will show the video at *whatever* original ratio the format is in when you start the video)=
from tool bar [select] view>video frame>[select]keep aspect ratio
from here on, it should *automatically* show the video at the correct ratio.
that's all there is to it. hope this helps.
