Hi all,

I'm a newbie when it comes to using Avisynth and was hoping you all could help me out with this problem i have :D. Please bare with me as i explain.

I've been using DVD2AVI v1.82 with Xvid 2-pass to encode my dvd's and getting pretty good results (well for me anyway). But the latest dvd i've been trying to encode is interlaced and theirs no de-interlacer option with the xvid codec.

I was wondering if it's possible to use my encoding method with an Avisynth de-interlacer script?

Not easily. You should use DGMPGDec, which is an evolution of DVD2AVI. There is a quick start guide that comes with it that explains how to serve the video and audio through Avisynth. You can add any filtering you like to your Avisynth script.

Wow that was easy. Your script with de-interlace filter worked great :D

There was nothing to it really. Your guide was great for a newbie and i'm fairly comfortable with virtual dub. So yeah I think i'll use your method from now on ;)
