If by "crop" you mean to cut away portions of the video, for example to make a widescreen video fill a standard TV, it's not possible without re-encoding. You can write an .avs script that'll make it display that way, or you can use ffdshow or Media Player Classic to resize and crop.

If by "crop" you mean to edit, or "trim," portions of the video into smaller segments, you would click Video > Direct stream copy before you save a new file. There are trimming tools at the bottom.

gellar,

1) Speediakal asked for a solution to crop without re-encoding.

2) Your only two posts here are to recommend a commercial software, something which is frowned upon.

That, plus: Why should anybody use an additional software, only for cropping?

Cropping is an essential feature every video editor, which is worth it's name, has to offer.
You can use VirtualDub, Avidemux, Avisynth or MPlayer/MEncoder for that task (all 100% free).

Still cropping without re-encoding is not possible.

Of course you can avoid re-encoding by keeping the video untouched and do the cropping at playback-time.
A good player/decoder should be able to do that, for example MPlayer or ffdshow...
