900mb CDRs... what burns them, etc

I have a TDK VeloCD 12X... its capable of overburning... but I don't know by how much. The CDRs I have now are 726mb (silver/blue) and not sure what the overburning does and exactly what the dangers are of it... also, is there a list of the burners that support the 900mb discs?
