Dear Readers,

Bah for some reason when I was testing how to use Gordian Knot... It installed a BUNCH of things into my computer and then it over-wrote my VDub settings... And I do have some settings saved but I can't seem to load them back into Vdub when i do everything is blank/ everythign is unchecked, etc...

So since I can't even load the Setttings I sort of forgot what my settings were and what needs to be adjusted and whatnot.

Basic layout of what i recall/ have.

Profile = Unrestricted
Quantinization is h.263
Everything is unchecked
B-Vop is checked with settings 2, 1.50, 1.0
Packed Bitstream is Checked and Closed GOV is unchecked.

Encoding Type: Two Pass
10, 1, 20, 5, 5, 5, 0, 0

Advanced Options(Was re'named' from installing GKnot)
Msp: 6 - Ultra High
VHQ Mode; 1 - Mode Decision
Use chroma motion + turbo = Checked
Frame Drop Ratio: 0, Max I-fram Interval: 300

Quantization: 2, 31, 2, 31, 2, 31
Trellis quantization is unchecked

Sorry I should have just done screenshots, but internet is being lame on me..

So if anyone can give me a average setting that can be used to do PV's/Movies/Dramas I would appreciate it, and I have read through the forums here and there but couldn't quite find the right settings. So any help is appreciated, thank you.

First sticky has a number of xvid configurations for highest-quality encodes. There is no all-around best, however.

Do be sure to install a recent build of xvid 1.2 (http://ffdshow.faireal.net/mirror/XviD/), whatever gk installed was probably quite old. (Note: MTK just means mediatek profiles.)
