View Full Version : Old DVD doesn't edit right..why?

I'm trying to edit out the booby scene from Revenge of the Nerds so I can watch it with my family but it seems like it was encoded extremely sloppy. I use PowerDVD to cut out sections but it just hangs really bad unlike any movie I've edited before. Is there a reason for this? Were older encoding done differently?

Also, is there a way to correct it or to stream it into a new file?

(sort of like running two vcr's together, one playing the other recording but obviously done through a program of some kind)

I'm not at all worried about losing quality.
:thanks:

I stumped you all!

Woohoo!

Anyway, I figured it out. I took dvd decrypter and outputted it into chapter segments making the files much smaller (obviously). Now I'm not having trouble with slow down, stuttering or poor quality.

Thanks (to me)!
