Hey all, I have some Matroska video files that I would like to trim - say it is a video file of my brother's birthday, and I wish to trim off the last minute or two.
This should be a simple process - I should just have to open the video file in VDubMod, and select direct stream copy, etc etc. However, when I try to open the mkv file, it alerts me with the warning "found a frame with only one (forward) ref, unhandled!"
I searched it, and found that someone had a similar problem back in '03 (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=353730#post353730) and, more recently, someone had the same error trying to convert mkv to avi, and got around it by converting the audio first (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=991729#post991729).
However, I don't want to convert anything, but just to trim it. Anyone have an idea?
edit: This can probably be done pretty simply with mkvmerge, i am trying that out now.
edit2: yup, using mkvmerge GUI from mkvtoolnix works like a charm. guess i didnt need to ask for help after all!
