Winamp users I have a question

After reading about Winamp on wikipedia it seems the program doesn't support:
.ogm
.mp4
.mkv

video formats

is this true? or do they infact support these formats and when Winamp is opened it infact can play all of these formats.

(I'm looking at series 5 specs)

Winamp is mainly a directshow player. Like MPC, it includes some decoders built-in, but for the most part it uses the system decoders, the same way Zoomplayer, BSplayer, and many others do. As long as you have Haali's splitter (or the three relevant gabest splitters), all of those formats are playable in winamp.

You might have to add the correct file extensions in the DirectShow Decoder plugin dialog before it Winamp passes over decoding to DirectShow. After you do it works like a charm, though.

Strange: Winamp has got an internal MP4 splitter in it's default install, but it seems to ignore the Video part completely. When you force it to use DirectShow for '.mp4' files it works fine via Haali's Splitter.

Aight, I have haali, I just hope I properly install it
