View Full Version : TMPGEnc can't detect audio from AviSynth files

I realize this is more of a TMPGEnc problem than an AviSynth problem, but I figured it was way more likely that I'd get help here rather than the TMPGEnc support forum. Anywho...

One of the things I've noticed as of late is that TMPGEnc isn't able to load the audio from AviSynth files. This has happened on two computers so far. It reads it as though the audio is fine, but if you have it encode an MP2 file or try to open it in Audio Edit the track is completely silent. This isn't too big of a problem since I usually have to do audio postwork with Audacity on the things I convert to MPEG-1/2 anyway, but sometimes if the source is clean I'd much rather just let TMPGEnc handle the whole mess in one fell swoop. (Especially since there's an SSRC AviSynth filter) I've tried the ConvertAudioToXXbit() filters and that doesn't seem to help. Anybody have ideas?

Use the readavs.dll for reading .avs with TMPGenc

Use toolame for processing your audio than TMPGEnc internal processing.
