Which is fine, DVD-RB has a default value for size = 2236400 sectors i.e. 4433 MB = 4.32 GB

If you dont need any reduction include/increase the targetsectors value in the INI.

But if its already fitting a DVD5, why are you trying to use DVD-RB ??

The difference of .016 could be the result of multiplexing differences, limited accuracy, or any of a number of other factors. If you run it you will probably find that everything is extracted as-is and reassembled. As techreactor mentioned, it could also be that the target size is smaller than the original.

@techreactor

thanks for your reply.im using imageburn on this back up.rb to make a iso image file to load imageburn.

@jdobbs

i get this 98% reduction with and without the iso sellected.

i just want to use imageburn.i find that imageburn gives me better results (tested on cd speed)

this back up was done with rb and burned with nero.it had too high of error count.i found that reripping the back up copy (to save time going thru the encoding with the orig.)and running thru rb with iso.burn with imageburn and retested.almost perfect with cd speed.(after it passes the test,i shred the old back up copy)i have a few more that i would like to redo.is thier a work around.

i hope this makes sence.
thanks

When you ran it, did it actually reencode anything, or did it simpley extract/rebuild?

i ripped the back up copy then loaded it into rb,sellected no compression 100% vid.sellected iso and i stopped when it was saying 98% reduction after prepare stage.ill let it run and see if it reencodes.

It doesn't really make any difference what it says... because it won't compress it in "No Compression" mode. Please let me know what size the output is...

@jdobbs

i ran this back up from start to finish,and yes it didnt reencode(0 minuts in recode fase).the final output file size was the same 4.32.
strange that it would say a reduction in the prepare stage.
it worked out great and i thank you for your time.

You do not need DVD RB to use Imgburn, Imgburn on its own is able to make and burn the ISO for you.
